Within this meeting, the Institute of Ecumenical Studies of the Ukrainian Catholic University, in the name of the director Pavlo Smytsnyuk, concluded the partnership agreement with Evangelical Church in Germany, represented by Dr. Martin Illert, who encouraged the Student Solidarity Meetings’ project.

As Mister Illert outlined: „We are very happy to cooperate with UCU and would like to express our solidarity with the Ukrainian people. Please be assured you are in our thoughts and prayers“

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, launched by Russia against Ukraine, the student solidarity meetings are held regularly. These meetings’ attendees include youth from all the continents, 44 countries of the world and over 1000 people have already had the opportunity to hear about the war in Ukraine from active UCU students.
