The Institute of Ecumenical Studies is holding this program in partnership with the professors of the Theology Department and the Biblical Studies Department of the Philosophy and Theology Faculty of the Ukrainian Catholic University.

The program project was discussed in October 2021 within the visit to UCU of the joint delegation of the ministers of the German Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ukraine and the Community of Reformed Evangelical Churches, including, particularly, the Bishop of GELCU Pavlo Schwartz.

More than 20 persons from various cities around Ukraine applied to attend this program: Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Berdiansk, Odesa and others. They include students, deacons, volunteers, church ministers, teachers of weekend schools, leaders of youth groups and leaders of small GELCU and CREC groups.

The Program training will take place in the module format. It is anticipated to hold two online modules and one offline. In total, the program attendees will take 5 courses: “Introduction into Bible”, “Introduction into Theology”, “Biblical Theology of the Old and New Testaments”, “Patristics”, “The World of Jesus and the Early Church”.

The Certificate Program is implemented with the support from the German organization «Brot für die Welt».
