Religion and Politics in the Context of the War Against Ukraine

24-25 June 2022

Centre for Biblical Studies - Babeș-Bolyai University and the Institute of Ecumenical Studies invite to the online conference "Religion and Politics in the Context of the War Against Ukraine" 24-25 June 2022.

The conference explores the relationship between religion and politics in the context of the war against Ukraine. Theologians, historians and sociologists of religion from Ukraine as well as Greece, Hungary and Romania address the complex religious landscape of Ukraine, the way religious discourse is used to legitimise military invasion, as well as the importance of religion in coping with the war.

The conference will take place on Zoom (registration required).

The language of the conference is English.
