The fifth graduation of the Master's Degree Program in Ecumenical Studies

It has already the fifth graduation of the MPDES of the Institute of Ecumenical Studies. Graduates of specialization in journalism were: Dubynyak Oksana, Zablotska Nadiya, Skitsko Kateryna. Topilko Myroslava, Krekhovetska Liliya, Bilous Oksana, Shablia Iryna and Rybak Yuliya received Diplomas of teachers of Christian Ethics. Another diploma was delievered to Iryna Khromets, the first graduate of the Distance Learning Master`s Degree Program in Ecumenical Studies.

"Be witnesses of the great God and do not make for yourself any idols" – wished for the graduates in his welcoming remarks rector Fr. Dr Borys Gudziak. The guest of honor of the graduation celebrations was philosopher Charles Taylor, who arrived to Ukraine for the international seminar "Ethics and Religion in the Modern World". In his speech Charles Taylor talked on the future of democracy and said: "Democracy requires solidarity and fair sharing of benefits among all people, but on the other hand, it requires active participation of all participants in this process. This is what can be called true patriotism". The fiest ended with a symbolic tradition of changing the side of the tassle and photo session.
