A new online publication “Spirituality” of the Institute of Ecumenical Studies

The Institute of Ecumenical Studies launched a new Christian media project “Spirituality.” It is a monthly informational publication of ecumenical character about Ukraine. It is published in Ukrainian with Russian translation. It was established by the Institute of Ecumenical Studies at the Ukrainian Catholic University and the newspaper “Vysokyi Zamok” (Lviv).

“Vysokyi Zamok” is a socio-political daily newspaper. Its daily circulation is 30,000 copies, and the weekly circulation is 400,000 copies. The weekly comes out every Thursday and has its own online version. The editorin- chief of the newspaper is journalist Natalia Balyuk. The editor of the website “Spirituality” is Olesya Barchuk (pictured), Master of Journalism, a graduate of the Department of Journalism at Ivan Franko National University in Lviv and a graduate of the Master's Program in Ecumenical Studies at UCU.

The resource is available on the web-page of “Vysokyi Zamok” or at www.dukhovnist.in.ua, as well as the website of the IES, www.ecumenicalstudies.org.ua/golovna

The project is unique because it is established on the basis of the secular media and is meant for its readers. Therefore, complex religious events and phenomena are talked about in a language clear to the reader. The publication is designed for the active, aware and educated reader who wants to know more about the spiritual life of the world and Ukraine.
