Conference on "The Second Vatican Council: the gifts of the Spirit – Mystery of the Church – the testimony of man" became a kind of implementation of the fruits of the Council, as it had clearly expressed ecumenical and international character. Speakers, guests and the audience were representatives of various nationalities and religious identities.
Borys Gudziak and Myroslav Marynovych had a closing word at the end of the conference. They both emphasized that the fruits of the Council should continue today. Father Boris emphasised especially on the spiritual dimension of the Council, which deals with the fundamental dynamics of our life and the Church in general. Also a kind of challenge and task for all should be readyness for the next similar or even larger Council.
Myroslav Marynovych concluded his speech calling everyone to understand: what is the Church: institution or spiritual need – a personal involvement of each of us in the life of the Church begins from realizing this. "We, organizers, prepared wood, and now you, participants made a fire which was burning for three days".
