IES held a meeting with the winners of the mini-grant competition

On February 2, 2021, a Practical online meeting of representatives of the Institute of Ecumenical Studies of the Ukrainian Catholic University with the winners of the mini-grant competition “Joint Initiatives to Promote Ecumenical Cooperation” took place. The purpose of the gathering was to present the idea and concept of the mini-grant competition, to get acquainted with all five projects that have been approved by the Competition Commission. Fr. Roman Fihas, coordinator of the competition, noted the importance of the ecumenical component of each project that will be implemented through the common vision and work of all participants in the project, and it is this attitude and willingness of the representatives of different denominations to go together can inspire people's hearts to search unity.

During the meeting, Halyna Bohonko, IES Executive Director, clarified issues related to project documentation, financing and reporting. Iryna Kitura, coordinator of the Ecumenical Social Week project, in her presentation focused on the correct way of project implementation, work with the Media and explanatory reporting of projects. Andriy Fendyk, chairman of the Ukrainian Youth Union (Спілка української молоді), held a master class on team building. The participants of the meeting heard advice on how to effectively implement the project in a team, how to measure the personal and the group's achievements and what goals should be set ahead, etc. The speakers shared with the participants their materials that they will be able to use in their work.

The Institute of Ecumenical Studies wishes success to the participants in the implementation of their projects.

The Competition of mini-grants “Joint Initiatives to Promote Ecumenical Cooperation” is organized by the Institute of Ecumenical Studies of the Ukrainian Catholic University with the support of the Fellowship and Aid to the Christians of the East “Oeuvre d'Orient” (France).
