Institute of Ecumenical Studies joined the live chain for Euro-integration

Employees of IES, on November 29 went to the village of Hamaliyivka near Lviv in the Kyiv direction where they joined the community of the Ukrainian Catholic University in creating a “live chain” that was to unite Kyiv as the capital of Ukraine with one of the EU countries. During an hour, starting at 12.00 representatives of the Institute became one of the links that united our country.

“Obviously, the students and staff of the Institute, as well as all the UCU community cannot stand apart at this critical time for our country. We support those who are on the streets, together we pray for wise decisions for our people and considered steps of our government,” said the executive director of the Institute of Ecumenical Studies Halyna Bokhonko.

After the completion of the all-Ukrainian campaign the participants prayed together for the future of Ukraine and our people, and the singing of “God Almighty” they completed the event. All in all, about 200 UCU employees participated in the event. Among them were teachers, staff and those students who at this time were not on the rallies in Ukraine.
