Taras Kurylets, IES researcher, in the frame of IES Project "Lectorium of Ecumenical Literacy", in cooperation with UCU Philosophy-Theology Faculty, had a series of lectures concerning ecumenical issues for the priests of Donetsk Exarchate of UGCC.

This course of lectures took place from 17 to 22 May this year at the base "Chayka" in the village of Genicheska Girka, Kherson region. The training took place for two groups of priests: the first arrival - 20 people from 17 to 19 May and the second - 15 people from 20 to 22 May.

The priests listened to a series of lectures, during which attention was focused on three ecumenical topics: 1. The Catholic Church and the ecumenical movement. The main principles and specifics of participation; 2. Official Catholic-Orthodox theological dialogue: main achievements and problematic moments; 3. Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and ecumenical dialogue. This topic was chosen because the priests of this exarchate serve in a territory where there is a significant presence of both Orthodox and Protestants. Each lecture ended with a series of questions from the listeners, which concerned a more practical area.
