During the 6th Ecumenical Social Week, the round table “Interfaith Dialogue: Between Searching for Unity and the Protection of Values” was held on October 2. The event was attended by both clergy and scholars of various Christian denominations.

The forum “Diversity and Respect” was officially opened in the session hall of Lviv Regional Council on October 1. That was one of the biggest events of the 6th Ecumenical Social Week, which accumulated interesting thoughts of authority figures.

The Head of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, Cardinal Kurt Koсh on 10 June visited the Ukrainian Catholic University and met with the employees of the Institute of Ecumenical Studies (IES). The meeting was attended by the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Patriarch Sviatoslav, a representative of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, Fr. Milan Zust, the Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Bishop Borys (Gudziak) and Vice Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Fr. Dr. Bohdan Prakh.

On 5 April, within the framework of the 3rd Forum of Cross-Sector Partnership on the initiative of the Institute of Ecumenical Studies at the Ukrainian Catholic University, as part of the National Network of the Ecumenical Social Week and supported by the NGO UkrProstir (Zaporizhzhya), a panel discussion on “The role of key social institutions in youth’s education” was held in Zaporizhzhya.

The experience of cooperation of NGOs, municipal authorities and churches were discussed in Dnipropetrovsk during the roundtable “Social Partnership Initiative in Working With Socially Vulnerable Groups” held on April 4, 2013 in Dnipropetrovsk City Council.

On February, 2 in the Ukrainian Catholic University, students of the program “Medical- psychological and social support for people with special needs" of the Institute of Ecumenical Studies” were awarded graduating certificates. This is already the third graduation of students on the certificate program.
